Let's build a robot

I enjoy building robots. Some robots are autonomous and can build a remote controlled. Autonomous robots are controlled by the microcontroller and I use an R/C controller as the remotely controlled.

I build robots for many years when I was just starting my education electronics. After class, spend a study and learn at bamabda, I felt like I wasn't learning much. I had a professor to receive some recommended spare parts, go home and I experiment with making electronic circuits which did something. Up to this point we just after school program. This was the standard program-we had a text book, we hear a lecture on the agenda, we then build a lab with an element that is used in a specific chapter, and then finish the chapter with a test on this chapter. Never really have built something that something. This is when I built my first robot.

Now I'm going to describe a robot controlled remotely I currently working on. I started with a lthbiv plastic available from Radio Shack. Then four engines mounted DC geared down and installed on the outside of the wheels. I really like the ones geared DC engines. I got them from Tamiya USA. Tamiya USA has a lot of really neat pieces to build robot. All you need to do is Google's robot parts and find lots of links to websites and selling exactly what you need. If you can use the engines and wheels for remote controlled car. I picked up the broken toys are controlled remotely from resale, hacked out the engine and the wheels.

Next I mounted two engine controllers HB-25 at the back of the robot. I got these HB-25 Web company called Parallax, Inc. is a large motor controller can control them directly on the remote control receiver and they treat the current required by the engines.

Then, put the remote control receiver box and the on/off switch. I just installed wire jumpers HB-25 receiver and then wired the battery. Now power up the robot and the transmitter and you should be ready to quit.

Put it together in about 4 hours, having fun playing with it. My programs are take this robot, remove the install of the microcontroller, convert it to an autonomous robot. Already placed on the ultrasonic head mounted servo. When we post a new article to explaining this process.
